Originally developed in conjunction the Levitation music festival (formerly Austin Psych Fest) the Levitation Psychedelic Reverb takes the basic chemistry of the Ghost Echo and takes it far out, man. Out of respect for Austin’s psych-rock heritage, the Levitation offers the same bright, splashy, spring reverb drenched tones synonymous with classic psychedelic rock in a modern stompbox format. You’re gonna miss it when it’s gone.
The Levitation’s real third-eye-opening feature is the Atmosphere control, which feeds the upper frequencies of the reverb trails back through the circuit to achieve a ringing, more harmonic reverb with an abundance of lysergic overtones, for a lush, drippy reverb that will more than likely have you seeing trails.
The Short / Long toggle switch and the Decay determine the length of your reverberated trip, which when used together, conjure tones ranging from small room early reflections, to dirty 60s chambers, classic spring reverb, ringing plate reverbs, all the way to infinite spatial oscillations. Dial in the Tone control to adjust the reverbs brightness from bright and brash, turned-on, tuned-in, and dropped-out, to mello yello and subdued.
Finally, you can select the dosage with the Mix control, which adjusts how much reverb is blended in with the dry signal.
Each and every Levitation is built by hand in Akron, Ohio, USA, where we buy the ticket and take the ride.
